Tweedsmuir

Description

The Tweedsmuir Provincial Park – South provides a three to five days canoe trips. It is composed by the Turner Lake Canoe Circuit. You can access this chain via float plane (from Nimpo lake), by car (exiting the highway 20 into Tote Road) or by hiking along the Hunlen Falls Trail.

  • Circuit counts with 20.5km (lakes, rivers and creeks). 
  • Turner lake is the longest with 5km. 
  • Strong winds channeled by the mountains can make it difficult. 
  • Portages are short and have canoe rests. 
  • Portages are not maintained for canoe carts. 
  • Bear viewing
